"I had tried many different therapists with varying results until I found Greg. He is an extremely knowledgable, well rounded and talented Massage Therapist with great hands and great energy, I now will not go anywhere else."
Bridgette Z.
My name is Greg Gaugler. I have been a professional massage therapist for over 15 years and have performed more than 12,000 bodywork sessions. I am dedicated to providing various forms of quality therapeutic massage for individuals who work hard and play hard.
I specialize in sport specific and deep tissue massage therapies, including myofascial, neuromuscular, and medical for reduction of pain, freedom of movement, correction of dysfunction, and balance of structure. These are "good" pain massage therapies for those who push their bodies to their limits and sometimes beyond.
The various forms of stretching I've implemented over the past several years are a great complement to massage. Active isolated, PNF(proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation), MET(muscle energy techniques), and resistance stretching are athletic, rehabilitative, and transforming techniques when used correctly. They increase elasticity in muscles and fascia, improve joint range of motion, help prevent injury, perform athletics better and more efficiently, and make you aware of dysfunction within muscle groups. Do you stretch enough?
I also believe in and provide firm, stress reducing, relaxation massage, because we all need that now and then.
MASSAGE THERAPY FOR SPORTS AND FITNESS
Whether you're rollerblading, biking or walking at Kensington Park, on a treadmill, weight training, or group class at a gym, if you're a golfer, tennis player, ice skater, martial artist, kayaker or involved in organized sports, physical fitness and sports can be exhilarating and rewarding. It is also demanding on your body. Massage therapy and sport specific flexibility techniques can help fitness enthusiasts perform to their highest levels, reach their personal goals and have more fun. They can replenish your energy, keep your muscles and joints healthy and flexible, prevent injury, speed recovery from injury, and improve performance. They increase circulation and will help eliminate lactic acid, decreasing the soreness we all have felt after a hard workout. They will also help identify tender, tight areas that athletes are not aware of but are prone to injury, accelerate healing of post-workout damage, and just feel good and right to do.
